Day 1: Arrival in Arusha (Optional Pre-Safari Day)

Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your luxury lodge or hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the property or enjoy a light activity before the safari. A briefing will be provided to prepare you for your fly-in adventure.

Day 2: Fly Arusha to Serengeti – Game Drive

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Serengeti. As you fly over northern Tanzania, you’ll see changing landscapes below before landing in the Serengeti ecosystem.

On arrival, your guide will meet you for a game drive. This is often an exciting day because wildlife sightings can begin immediately, with chances to see grazing herds, elephants, giraffes, and predators depending on the area and season.

In the late afternoon, arrive at your luxury camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drives in Serengeti

Today is dedicated to a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti. After breakfast, head out with a flexible plan to follow wildlife activity across the plains.

Your guide will focus on the most promising areas for sightings, including predator territories and regions where herds gather. Expect classic Serengeti scenes: lions on kopjes, cheetahs scanning the grasslands, and large herds moving through open country.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Another Full Day in Serengeti

With a second full day in Serengeti, you can explore different zones and stay longer at key sightings. This extra time is ideal for guests who enjoy photography or want to experience the Serengeti beyond “quick highlights.”

Depending on the season, the day can be tailored toward areas with migration activity, predator action, or river wildlife zones. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti Game Drive (Relaxed Luxury Pace)

After breakfast, enjoy another day in Serengeti with a relaxed luxury pace. You can choose longer game drives with fewer stops, or split the day into a morning drive and afternoon drive with time to enjoy the camp atmosphere in between.

This day is perfect for slowing down and absorbing the Serengeti rhythm, watching animal behavior, and enjoying the wide-open landscape without rushing.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Serengeti, then begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This travel day still feels like safari because wildlife viewing continues along the way as you move through the ecosystem.

Arrive in the Ngorongoro area in the afternoon and settle into your luxury lodge near the crater rim or in the surrounding highlands. Rest early for the crater adventure the next day.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha (or Fly to Zanzibar)

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater floor supports a high concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and rich birdlife.

With luck, you may spot the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch, ascend from the crater and continue to Arusha, where the safari ends.

Optional Extension: Instead of returning to Arusha, you can connect for a flight to Zanzibar for a beach holiday.
