Day 1: Arrival in Arusha (Optional Pre-Safari Day)

Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your luxury lodge or hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the property, enjoy a short local experience, or simply rest. A safari briefing will be provided to prepare you for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park and begin your first luxury game drive. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, wide open landscapes, and iconic baobab trees.

Your guide will explore the best wildlife areas, often focusing around the river zone where animals gather. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your luxury lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, travel toward Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro highlands. As you descend into Serengeti, the vast plains stretch out in every direction.

You will enjoy a game drive en route to your luxury camp, watching for wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of grazers. Arrive at your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drives in Serengeti

After breakfast, head out for a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti. This day gives you the flexibility to explore different areas based on wildlife activity and seasonal movement.

You may find lions on kopjes, cheetahs hunting in open plains, and hyenas trailing the herds. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Another Full Day in Serengeti

A second full day in Serengeti offers a deeper safari experience with more time to follow wildlife behavior and explore further. Your guide will tailor the day to maximize sightings, focusing on regions with strong predator activity or large herds depending on the season.

This extra day is perfect for photography, as it allows longer stays at sightings and better chances of capturing special moments. Return to your luxury camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before starting the journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The scenery changes from open plains to greener highlands as you approach the crater region.

Arrive in the afternoon and relax at your luxury lodge near the crater rim or in the surrounding highlands, ready for an early descent the next day.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater floor has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and many bird species.

With luck, you may spot the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch, continue exploring before ascending the crater and driving to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Lake Manyara is known for its lush groundwater forest, large baboon troops, and beautiful lake scenery beneath the Rift Valley escarpment.

You may see elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, and many bird species along the lakeshore. After the game drive, return to Arusha where your safari ends.
